1861: May 11-July 11: The Journey West to Minnesota and back.

Monday, May 20, 1861:  From Suspension Bridge, N.Y. to  Windsor, Canada West by train; then by ferry across the river to Detroit, Michigan.

The hotel where they stayed in Detroit is unknown.
